Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Inkspot accessible to everyone
Last updated: May 2026
Draft Notice: This accessibility statement is pending review. We are actively improving accessibility across the platform. The details below reflect our current efforts and known status.
Our Commitment
Inkspot Tattoo Market is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Conformance Status
The Inkspot platform is partially conformantwith WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
We are actively working to identify and resolve accessibility barriers across the platform, with regular audits and iterative improvements.
Measures Taken
Inkspot takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Using semantic HTML elements to convey structure and meaning
- Ensuring all interactive elements are keyboard accessible
- Maintaining sufficient colour contrast ratios throughout the interface
- Providing descriptive alt text for all meaningful images
- Using ARIA attributes where native HTML semantics are insufficient
- Testing with screen readers and assistive technologies
- Running automated accessibility audits as part of our development process
- Supporting dark mode for users with light sensitivity
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the platform may have accessibility limitations:
- Third-party payment forms: Stripe payment elements are provided by a third party and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We work with Stripe to ensure the best possible experience.
- User-uploaded content: Images and descriptions uploaded by artists may not always include alt text or meet contrast requirements. We encourage artists to provide descriptive titles and alt text.
- Complex interactive features: Some features like the Tattoo Finder wizard and image galleries are being progressively enhanced for screen reader compatibility.
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across all areas of the platform.
